Mossmouth ultimately supplied a release date for Spelunky 2 at Sony’s last State of Play. The roguelite platformer, which features a lot of new personalities, is out on September 15 th for PS4. Creator Derek Yu claimed that the Steam version would arrive afterwards and has tightened that home window down even more.
According to Yu on Twitter, the development team is looking to launch the COMPUTER version “no behind a few weeks after” the PS4 launch. This would practically put the launch someplace in October. Yu promised an additional update “later this month.”
