Among the first significant conference cancellations this year due to the COVID pandemic was the Game Developers Meeting (GDC). It was one of the very first signs that the virus was going to have a pretty major effect on the market. Inevitably, they did end up holding a digital event previously this month, and for next year the strategy is to mix a little both.
The occasion’s coordinators, Informa Tech, announced the strategies in a news release. The plan is to do a physical occasion along with what they are call a “durable digital offering”, though it’s uncertain what exactly that means. It will occur in San Francisco.
One thing to note is that the event will certainly take location a lot later than common, running from July 19 th to the 23 rd. This is much further out then the conventional March time framework it’s held, most likely attempting in hopes that things will certainly be much more stabilized after that as opposed to the reasonably very early month in March.
